Its core performance is determined by the cutoff wavelength, bandwidth, and spectral reflectance/transmittance: the cutoff wavelength defines the boundary between transmission and reflection, the bandwidth reflects the sharpness of wavelength selection (narrower bandwidth means higher color separation accuracy), and the reflectance/transmittance directly affects light signal separation efficiency. Unlike ordinary band-pass filters, dichroic filters are more sensitive to the angle of incidence and polarization state, requiring strict control of optical path angles in applications.
