Visible Spectrophotometer

The principle of spectrophotometric analysis is to use the selective absorption phenomenon of different wavelengths of light to characterize the substance and quantitative analysis, through the analysis of absorption spectroscopy, the structure and chemical composition of the substance are judged. The instrument works on the principle of relative measurement, that is, a solvent (distilled water, air or specimen) is selected as a reference solution, and its transmittance ratio (i.e., transmittance T) is set to 100%, and the transmittance of the tested sample is obtained relative to the reference solution.

 

This instrument is widely used in medicine and hygiene, clinical testing, biochemistry, petrochemical industry, environmental monitoring, and food production, qualitative and quantitative analysis by production and quality control departments, and can also be used as teaching demonstrations and experimental instruments for related courses in colleges and secondary schools.
