Optical Properties

Wide Transmission Range:

It has high transmittance in the wavelength range from 180 nm to 8 μm. It is transparent in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared regions, making it suitable for applications involving multiple wavelength bands, such as spectroscopy or fluorescence imaging in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared wavelengths.

Low Absorption and High Damage Threshold:

With low absorption coefficients and high damage thresholds, it can withstand high - energy laser irradiation, so it is suitable for use in high - energy laser systems, such as excimer lasers.

Low Refractive Index and Chromatic Aberration:

Calcium fluoride has a relatively low refractive index.
